Ground Breaking Ceremony for The Monarch
April 6th at 4:00 P.M. at 455 25th Street, Ogden
Ogden, Utah – In 1927, Archie Bigelow unveiled the Bigelow Hotel and Garage. Over the years, the garage located at the corner of 25th and Ogden avenue has been occupied by a variety of automobile-related businesses until it was ultimately abandoned in 1993. Over Ninety years later these two grand buildings are again celebrating together. Let us introduce to you The Monarch building. The primary goal of the Project is to restore this architectural gem, following the strict guidelines published by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior. The restoration will greatly improve the appearance and usability of the building and is vital to achieve Ogden City’s goals to create a cohesive arts corridor, Nine Rails Creative District, (#ninerailsogden) connecting the Historic 25th Street and Jefferson historic districts in downtown Ogden.
The Monarch will be the epicenter of the “Nine Rails Creative District” and will be the future home to artisans, designers, and creatives of all types. The Monarch will offer restaurant, retail and event space (2500 – 10,000 sq. ft.), exhibit and collaborative space (3000 – 4500 sq. ft.), and artisan and designer creative studios (300 – 1500 sq. ft.).
Join us for the ground breaking ceremony for this fabulous building Friday April 6th at 4:00 P.M. at 455 25th Street in Ogden.
