Survivor Art Showcase & Silent Auction
April 21 @ 11 am - 3 pm
Join us for a day to celebrate the strength of sexual assault survivors and share in the healing power of art. The Survivor Art Showcase & Silent Auction will feature powerful, original artwork created by survivors of sexual violence, as well as other stunning pieces from local female artists. Art at it’s core is a creative form of emotional expression that can be incredibly healing for survivors as they work to move beyond the trauma of their experience. We are so proud to be able to support these strong, resilient artists by providing an outlet for them to share their journey. Come out to experience, view, support, and understand more about the healing power of art. Most artwork will be available for sale through silent auction, with the proceeds being used to help support the Safe Harbor Sexual Assault program.
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The whole family is welcome. Please know that this is the first chance that some of our artists have had the opportunity to publicly show their work and talk about their story. We ask everyone who plans to attend to show only love, respect, and compassion. Together, as a community, we can help survivors to know that they are heard, believed, and supported.
This event is part of the Davis County Sexual Assault Awareness Month (#SAAM) campaign, hosted by Safe Harbor Crisis Center. Follow Safe Harbor Crisis Center on Facebook for #SAAM updates and resources throughout April.
