Pockets! Pockets! Pockets! We want pockets on our dresses, skirts and shirts!
This is a fun class in the Jack Sewing series. Bring your dresses, skirts, and shirts and you will get to sew pockets on them (similar to the ones pictures above). We will explore different styles of pockets and material you can pick from to create your pocket. Bring your sewing machine or serger or use one from the store.
This class will be Septemer 25th from 6:00 pm– 8:00pm. You can register for the class online at localartisancollective.com by clicking on the calendar. Or you can come into the store located at 2371 Kiesel Ave, Ogden to register. The cost is $15 per person and includes a variety of material for you to use and explore with.
In Utah we have Jack Mormons; in sewing we now have Jack Sewing. What the heck is Jack Sewing? It is a sassy sewing class for folks who don’t care about interfacing or how to read that stupid pattern that has been collecting dust. This is a great class for upcycler’s, DIY beginners and guru’s, people that want to dabble in sewing, be creative in using their sewing machine, not take life too serious and want to have fun.
This class is taught by Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth. Stephanie has been upcycling, recycling and making nature inspired projects for the last 8 years as a business but really since she was a child with her crafy Mom.
