Overnighter on Lone Peak via Jacobs Ladder
Event Navigation
Lone Peak is the most prominent peak at the South end of Salt Lake County, sitting at 11,253 feet. It’s a moderate to strenuous hike with lots to explore at the top, including the summit itself and a massive glacial cirque.
I want to head up in the early afternoon so we can have time to set up camp in the saddle, eat, and explore. Then head up to the summit on Saturday morning to catch sunrise, perhaps explore a bit more and then head down. I’m flexible on the timeline – I just want to have some time to enjoy Lone Peak!
We’ll arrange to meet at a nearby parking lot then carpool to the trailhead.
