Come join us to learn the art of handlettering! Handlettering is the art of drawing letters and has little to do with your actual handwriting. This is a beginner course that will cover terminology, fauxlligraphy and an intro brush pen/marker lettering. Through this class, you will find that you can make beautiful letters and words with tools you already have and with practice, practice, practice! Included in the workbook is step by step instructions allowing you to take the practice at your own pace.
We will start class by learning a fun technique to create a watercolor wash background on watercolor paper. This will be used for the final project at the end of class that you will take home with you. Next, we will move through our workbook together learning terminology of handlettering, then fauxillgraphy, and finally an introduction in brush lettering. There will be plenty of time to practice your letters and words before you add your own word or phrase to your watercolor wash project.
