This is going to be an amazing Fashion Show Summer Camp! You will get to learn basic sewing, serger, hand sewing, making jewelry, make-up, hairstyles and fashion show skills.
Monday through Thursday we will be creating and designing: triangle headbands, a waist Kimono, upcycled tunic dress, boho cuff bracelet, creating their own paper beads for a necklace, and beaded earrings. Everyone will get their own sketch book and colored pencils so that they can sketch ideas before they sew or create jewelry. Everyone will get hands on practice for sewing skills (hand sewing, serger and sewing machine) and jewelry making skills.
Friday they will design their own Fashion Show. They will also learn pointers and skills for Fashion Show make-up and hair. Ending with a wonderful finale of a Fashion Show that they will star in with their new clothes.
This class will happen on July 8th to 11th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The last class day will be on July 12th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ending with a Fashion Show starting at 6:00 pm. The cost for this fabulous summer camp is $150. This class is for ages 11 up. Cancellations accepted up until 14 days before the camp starts.
Every student is welcome to bring their own sewing machine, serger, makeup and hair accessories if they would like to learn skills with their own items but it is not necessary. We will have machines and makeup for everyone to use. All materials are provided for this class.
This class is taught by 4 incredible artists: Roxanne Vigos from Sago Adornment, Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth, Amanda Golden Strong from Amanda’s Sewing and Embroidery Circle and Jean-Louise England who is the Costume Shop Manager at Weber State University. They are excited to share their combined skills for this class.
