Design a Jean Jacket!
March 13 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Design A Jean Jacket!
This is a fun class in the Jack Sewing series. Do you love Jean Jackets? Have you ever wanted to design and add your own bling to a jean jacket? If so, then this is the class for you! Make your jacket bohemian, rocker, hipster, crazy cat lady….the possibilities are endless!
Bring your own jean jacket or one will be provided for you. Email Stephanie (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let her know what size you will need her to have ready for you to use. We will explore different ideas and options for you to use on your jacket from fringe, patches, different fabric designs, ribbons, sparkles, buttons and more! Bring your own sewing machine. You can also hand sew items if you prefer. I will also have a glue gun available if you want to get your sassy on with glue instead of sewing.
This class will be Saturday, April 28th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. You can register for the class online at localartisancollective.com by clicking on the calendar. Or you can come into the store located at 2371 Kiesel Ave, Ogden to register. The cost is $20 per person if you bring your own jacket or $30 per person if you want a jacket provided for you. The fee includes a variety of material for you to use and explore with.
In Utah we have Jack Mormons; in sewing we now have Jack Sewing. What the heck is Jack Sewing? It is a sassy sewing class for folks who don’t care about interfacing or how to read that stupid pattern that has been collecting dust. This is a great class for upcycler’s, DIY beginners and guru’s, people that want to dabble in sewing, be creative in using their sewing machine, not take life too serious and want to have fun.
This class is taught by Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth. Stephanie has been upcycling, recycling and making nature inspired projects for the last 8 years as a business but really since she was a child with her crafty Mom.
