About the Bands:
The Austin-based band was Americana before there really was such a term, combining roots, rock and country influences into an uncompromising musical approach that has earned the Grammy-winning group a very steadfast and loyal following. Reckless Kelly is a great band with an apt name. The outlaw’s spirit pervades the ambiance. They are rugged individualists who dedicate themselves to advancing the state of their art. They’re good guys, too. Their hearts dwell in the right places, and those are where the music follows.
Gleewood is a musky Americana act based out of New Mexico that grooves through blues, folk, and rock 'n' roll, with lyrics that lend a story to folk and roots music enthusiasts with energy that swells into energetic guitar solos from the heart of the psychedelic 60s. Gleewood is steeped in a vintage vibe and is poured out over an icy fresh dose of the 21st century. Jhett's bass-baritone grit welds uniquely with Callie's high, clear, soprano vocals to create a sound that Echo House described as "Coffee and cream." The acoustic rock songwriting style of Jhett Schiavone(Guitar & Vocals) meets western and folk tradition of New Mexican cowgirl, Callie Sioux (Bass & Vocals) to bring an unlikely, unique, and at-once recognizable sound to the folk/rock scene. With a foothold in the style of their late 60s rock n roll heroes, they reach up and in to fresh, progressive songwriting with a southern flare.
The original songs of The Hollering Pines artfully present stories of long nights, short lives, and spilled chances. Their brand of Americana draws on the strength of a tube is driven radio signall, parting the sea of static, bouncing off of heaven and back to earth. Moments In Between, the upcoming third release by The Hollering Pines, conjures new sonic weather for the Salt Lake Americana band. With its layered atmospheres, uncommon rhythmic textures, and carefully crafted songs, Moments In Between expands upon the band's previous work, drawing a line from the windswept soundscapes of Daniel Lanois to the openhearted, sometimes melancholy, melodicism of Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.
