This fun social ride is into town to enjoy the Farmer’s Market at Pioneer Park. This open-air bazaar features a multitude of produce, arts, crafts and food vendors – and presents a fun kaleidoscope of Salt Lake City. Ride agenda is to spin into town on the Jordan River Parkway’s paved bike path and then return the same way or on public roads. Group choice. The Bicycle Collective, a local nonprofit, typically provides valet parking for bicyclists at Pioneer Park, so everyone is encouraged to bring a couple of bucks ($) as a donation for their services. Our itinerary is to stroll around the market and socialize, maybe grab something to eat, and then bicycle back to Murray. Along the way we will visit the International Peace Gardens, a beautiful space which is the outgrowth of a citizenship project to promote peace and understanding between nations. This ride is a virtually flat 22-mile event. Please ensure your bike is correctly adjusted and safe to operate. Everyone needs to bring basic tire repair tools and wear a helmet. Meet Elliott in Murray at Arrowhead Trailhead, 4800 South 550 West by the Jordan River, on the north side of the road at 9:00am ready to ride.
