The Ogden Bicycle Collective and Ogden City Arts is pleased to announce the inaugural, Bike Homecoming! The evening will begin with a free, easy community bike ride beginning at Union Station, where participants of all abilities are welcome. The route will ride east on 25th street, past many of the First Friday Art Stroll galleries. It then weaves through the Junction, past the temple and High Adventure Park, under the iconic Ogden Arch, and eventually back to the Ogden Amphitheater—where the party begins.
DJ KyWizard from Lavender Vinyl will provide the dance music. Everyone is encouraged to dress in their best formal attire befitting of Homecoming.
The entire family is invited to join us! The community bike ride is free, but tickets will be sold for the dance starting at $20. Food and beverages can be purchased inside the event from various vendors for cash only. Beer sales available to those 21 and over.
Ticket sales and other donations from Bike Homecoming go to supporting the Ogden Bicycle Collective’s community programs. Come out for a good time to support bikes and the community!
Are there minimum age requirements for the community bike ride?
The community bike ride will be an easy, no-drop, family friendly ride, however we encourage anyone who may not be able to complete a 3 mile bike ride independently to use a trailer, trail-bike attachment, or other attachment to help stay in pace with the rest of the riders.
We will have safety riders, designated by signs, in front and in back of the group. The Ogden Police Department will close roads and provide an escort for the ride, but roads will re-open to traffic behind the final safety rider. If you are behind that rider, we will not be able to guarantee your safety and you will be considered traffic as usual.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All ages are invited to attend Bike Homecoming. Only those of the Legal Drinking Age may participate in the consumption of alcoholic beverage. Beer and Wine will be sold, as well as non alcoholic alternatives.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Ride the Front Runner north from your town (very bike-friendly) and you’ll be right at our Union Station starting point! There is also parking up and down local business along 25th street, as well as behind the Ogden Amphitheater. During the dance, Bike Valet will be provided by Ogden Bicycle Collective at no charge!
