LAYTON — The Davis Arts Council’s 2019 Summer Nights with the Stars season has been announced, with REO Speedwagon, Colbie Caillat, Wilson Phillips and Lonestar leading the list of concerts this summer at the Kenley Amphitheater.
Season ticket renewals begin Tuesday, April 2. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 30.
This summer’s concerts will include:
• June 17 — “The Music of John Williams” with the Utah Symphony. The concert will also include a performance of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” complete with cannons. $25-$50.
• Imagine: Remembering the Fab Four. The Beatles greatest hits will be performed, featuring a local orchestra. $10-$30.
• June 22 — Croce Plays Croce. AJ Croce, son of the late Jim Croce, will perform the hits written by his father. $10-$30.
• June 25 — REO Speedwagon. The band that produced hits like “Keep on Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling” comes into town. $65-$95.
• June 29 — Forever Motown. Hits from bands like The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. $15-$35.
• July 2 — Michael Feinstein. Vocalist Feinstein sings the hits of Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Broadway and more. $25-$50.
• July 11 — Oleta Adams. Grammy nominated singer known for the smash hit “Get Here” is among gospel’s most successful musicians. $15-$35.
• July 20 — Pablo Cruise. Soft-rock group from the 1970s and ’80s had hits with songs like “Love Will Find a Way” and “Whatcha Gonna Do.” $20-$40.
• July 22 — Colbie Caillat featuring Gone West. California singer-songwriter performs with her new band, Gone West. $35-$55.
• July 27 — The Travelin’ McCourys. Bluegrass band that won a Grammy this year. $15-$35.
• July 30 — Wilson Phillips. Successful girl group performed hits like “Hold On.” $45-$75.
• Aug. 6 — Lonestar. This country band gave the world songs like “Amazed,” “I’m Already There” and “My Front Porch Lookin’ In.” $45-$75.
• Aug. 10 — Remember When Rock was Young: The Elton John Tribute starring Craig A. Meyer. A tribute to the legendary musician Sir Elton John. $15-$35.
• Aug. 24 — Broadway Princess Party. An evening of enchantment with the stars of three Broadway musicals — “Cinderella,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Aladdin.” $10-$55.
• Aug. 29 — Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone. This leader of the 1960s British Invasion is a regular at Kenley Amphitheater. $20-$45.
The REO Speedwagon concert is considered a “premiere engagement” and is not included in the season package. The Utah Symphony, Colbie Caillat, Wilson Phillips, Lonestar and Broadway Princess Party shows are considered “special engagements” and are not included in the season package.
