Tickets go on sale next week for Elton John’s final concert in Utah.
John will bring his thus-far-sold-out Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour to the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City on Sept. 4, 2019. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, but a limited number of presale tickets and VIP packages are now available for purchase.
The English singer, pianist and composer has been writing and performing hits since the late 1960s. Billboard magazine named John as the most successful performing male solo artist of all time.
Salt Lake City was among 25 additional North American concert dates added to the singer-songwriter’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which John has called his final concert tour. The first leg of the tour kicked off Sept. 8 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The three-year farewell tour will include many of John’s most beloved songs, including “Bennie and the Jets,” “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Philadelphia Freedom.”
According to a news release: “The audience will experience a rare glimpse into Elton’s life and the deeply personal meaning behind some of his greatest hits, with mesmerizing, never-before-seen photos and videos shown throughout the show from his incredible 50-year career.”
A limited number of presale tickets and VIP packages are now available for purchase. Packages can include premium tickets, on-stage photo opportunities at John’s piano, backstage tours, limited-edition lithographs, custom merchandise and more, according to the news release.
The presale event uses Ticketmaster Verified Fan, a technology aimed at getting tickets into the hands of fans who intend to attend the concert by combating so-called “ticket bots.”
Registration is required to participate in the ™ Verified Fan Presale.
