Tommy can you hear me? The Who’s 1969 iconic rock concept album comes to life on the stage in this truly unique theatrical event. Deaf, dumb and blind young Tommy overcomes impossible odds to rise to stardom during this high-energy, inspiring and sometimes puzzling adventure. The Who’s Tommy will leave audiences thinking long after they’ve left the theater.

The first play by Susan Lehmann, who studied play-writing with Clarence P. Socwell last year. Susan is a private investigator, and the script is based on a real experience she had some years ago. It involves the interactions of representatives of the legal system with family members of a troubled child in an attempt to rescue the child from a life of trauma.

This comic fantasy finds Catholic activist Dorothy Day trapped in the afterlife with Warhol superstar Candy Darling. At the same time, a young librarian on the Lower East Side of Manhattan finds her life coming undone with booze, pills, and despair. New York City provides a backdrop to this comic tale of opposites attracting, repelling and finding common ground.

‘SEUSSICAL JR.’

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

CRAZY FOR YOU

A classic romantic comedy hits the CenterPoint stage in, Crazy for You! Bobby Child, a banker who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre, falls madly in love with Polly Baker, the theater owner’s daughter. But, as fate would have it, she can’t stand him. Not one to give up so easily, Bobby sets out, through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken identity – to win Polly’s heart and save the theatre.
