THE GANGRENE COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL

What: The Gangrene Film Festival returns with the theme “The Gong Show.” Enjoy an evening of premier mid-70s style game show comedy and short comedy films from all over the world. Come prepared to laugh, shout, cheer, and be perplexed. The audience is invited to interact with on-stage directors as they introduce their films and remain for Q&A. The festival features films that are completely free of objectionable content. There is no profanity, vulgarity or sexual content. There may be a little light, comic violence. Probable G to PG ratings.

PEACH DAYS

What: Among the many assets of Brigham City is the history and heritage that exists. Started in 1904 as a day-off from the harvest and time to celebrate “an abundance of the best peaches in Utah”. Peach Days is an honored tradition that brings approximately 35,000 spectators a fun-filled weekend that the Top of Utah and Southern Idaho residents look forward to every year. Enjoy parades, a library book sale, food, vendors, fun runs, car shows, entertainment and more.

When and where: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m Friday, Sept. 8 and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; Main Street, Brigham City.

NUBIZ SYMPOSIUM: ENTREPRENEUR & SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

What: A half-day conference designed to help members of the community rub shoulders with amazing business leaders. Get ready for your creative engine to start as you learn practical and innovative ways to grow your business. Breakfast and refreshments included.

THAI FOOD SUMMERFEST

What: Authentic, traditional and fresh cooked Thai foods will be available. Cultural shows, live music and other entertainments.

MCKAY-DEE HEART FAIR

What: Learn about heart health, take a free heart health assessment and enjoy prizes and food.

When and where: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; McKay-Dee Hospital, 4401 Harrison Blvd., Ogden.

GET READY FAIR

What: Mark your calendars for a day of wellness and emergency preparedness activities for the whole family. Free hot dogs, activities for the whole family, emergency education and information, preparedness supplies for immediate purchase, car seat check station, emergency responders with fire engines, helicopter, police cars, SWAT, rescue equipment, Boy Scout emergency preparedness badge activities and more.

OGDEN FAMILY HISTORY CONFERENCE

What: Learn how to discover and share your family history at this free conference. This year features one-on-one help along with classes.

When and where: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; Shepherd Union Building, Weber State University, 3910 W. Campus Drive, Ogden.

ST. MARY’S 7TH ANNUAL HARVEST FESTIVAL

What: A community event with something for everyone in the family. Start the day with a 5k run, spend the afternoon browsing the car show, and shopping at the farmers market, featuring fresh roasted peppers. Get a jump on your holiday shopping with 30+ vendors and a silent auction. Relax and enjoy authentic Filipino or Mexican food while listening to live music featuring Kitty and the Cruisers and The Rusty River Band. The kids will enjoy bounce houses, games and much more.

BOUNTIFUL MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL

What: Live music, art, dance, crafts and gallery exhibits on historic Main Street.

When and where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9; Bountiful Main Street, 400 North to 500 South Main St., Bountiful.

HISTORIC HOUSE TOUR

What: Weber County Heritage Foundation presents the 40th Annual Historic House Tour in Ogden Valley. See historic homes around the Ogden Valley.

GIVESTOCK

What: A community music and art fair presented by the fun lovin’ folks at Even Stevens. It’s a day for fans, bands and all the people in the land to come together in the name of peace, food, and good music. Every Givestock ticket sold provides two meals to the Utah community through the Utah Food Bank.
