Clark's hat trick lifts Syracuse to upset win at Viewmont; many games postponed

Mat Clark pulled off a hat trick and Syracuse pulled off a major upset in Region 2 with a 3-2 win at defending 5-A champion Viewmont. Many other soccer and softball matchups were postponed due to rainy weather.

BOYS SOCCER: Layton rallies to defeat Davis; roundup

With a 1-1-2 record heading into its game against Davis on Tuesday afternoon, Layton has already seen several tight soccer matches this season. So, when Davis scored an early goal, Layton didn't lose it — then rallied from a second-half tie to take down the Darts 3-2 in Region 2 action.

Jackson Stein hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to give Ogden a 6-5 win over Timpview in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday and the Tigers went on to sweep the Thunderbirds.
