LOGAN — Unicorn Children’s Theatre is presenting a spine-tingling tale of a young boy who faces his greatest fears within the realms of a mysterious, magical swamp.

In “Wiley and the Hairy Man,” the boy Wiley ventures through a magical world of rhythm and rhyme to face off against his mystical nemesis. In a duel of wits, he learns to rely upon his own resources as he strives to conquer two villains: the Hairy Man and his own fear.

Because this production includes scenes with dark lighting and some scary moments, it is recommended for age 8 and older. Children age 5 to 8 will be admitted at their parents’ discretion. The production also includes some onstage seating.

“Wiley and the Hairy Man” will be presented at 7 p.m. April 13 and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 14, in the Ellen Eccles Theatre, 43 S. Main St. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for teens and $5 for children age 5 to 12. Tickets are available at www.centerforthearts.us/events.html.

For families with younger children, a Unicorn Theatre creative drama class will be held during each performance, for children age 4 and older. The class will take place in the Unicorn Room of the Bullen Center, accessible from the Ellen Eccles Theatre lobby. The class is available for $5 per child. Children may be dropped off up to 15 minutes before the production begins, and should be picked up within 15 minutes after the performance concludes.
