Wiseguys event helps family of fallen officer

Comedian Ryan Hamilton performs Thursday, March 29, at Wiseguys Comedy Club in Ogden during a benefit for the family of police officer Jared Francom, who was killed in the line of duty in January.

OGDEN — A fundraiser to help the family of Jared Francom, the police officer killed in the line of duty in a January shooting in Ogden, is being hosted by Wiseguys Comedy Club in downtown Ogden.

Featuring comedy and hypnosis as well as a silent auction, the benefit show is at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at 208 25th St.

Tickets are $10, with Ogden Regional Medical Center matching each ticket sold dollar for dollar. Comedian and Ogden Regional spokesman Craig Bielik will emcee the evening.

Kapp Auto in Roy will also participate by donating $100 for every car sold in the month following the Francom benefit. The merchants of Historic 25th Street are donating silent auction items to be bid on the night of the show.

Other performers include Ryan Hamilton, a former Salt Lake City-based comedian who is flying in from New York for this benefit. Also performing is Ogden comedian Keith Stubbs and Clearfield-based Shawn Paulsen, who does a comedy hypnosis act.
