CEDAR CITY -- The Utah Shakespeare Festival wants to give its patrons even the most obscure of the Bard's works.
The company plans to produce each of William Shakespeare's 38 plays over the next 12 years through a program called Complete the Canon.
The effort that begins in June with "Titus Andronicus" will include Shakespeare's 10 history plays presented in chronological order.
Artistic Co-Director David Ivers tells The Spectrum that producing plays much less popular than "Romeo and Juliet" or "Hamlet" could be a box office gamble.
But Artistic Co-Director Brian Vaughn says he believes audiences are hungry for the lesser-known works.
The company's website includes a checklist so patrons can keep track of the plays they've seen. Officials say they hope the new style of programming attracts younger audiences.
