LOGAN — The wonders of the night sky as seen in Logan Canyon are highlighted during an astronomy class Friday, Aug. 17.
The stargazing session — which emphasizes viewing with the naked eye or simple binoculars — begins at the Logan Ranger District, 1500 E. U.S. 89.
Information on finding major stars and constellations will be presented, along with details on how to use the heavens as a compass and how celestial bodies move through the night sky. The event is sponsored by the Stokes Nature Center.
Admission is $5; registration is required at 435-755-3239 or www.logannature.org.
