ANTELOPE ISLAND — Clear spring skies offer another chance for stargazing at Antelope Island State Park on Saturday, May 12.
The Ogden Astronomical Society sponsors the 8:30 p.m. star party at White Rock Bay. Club members will provide telescopes and help visitors locate objects in the sky, including constellations, galaxies, planets and star clusters.
Just before sunset, a solar scope will be available for looking at the sun. A 20-minute presentation on space will also be offered.
Admission to the park is $9 per vehicle. The park is west of Syracuse, off Interstate 15’s Exit 332, and gates close at 9 p.m. to incoming traffic.
The event is canceled if the sky is overcast.
