The screening of two digitally restored “Star Trek” episodes are among the three in-theater broadcasts playing in Top of Utah theaters.
“Star Trek: The Next Generation 25th Anniversary Event” will play in theaters at 7 p.m. Monday, July 23. This special screening includes two digitally restored “Star Trek” episodes, “Where No One Has Gone Before” (Episode 106) and “Datalore” (Episode 114). The event includes an introduction from “Star Trek” experts and restoration consultants.
Admission is $10.50-$11.50 for adults, $9.50-$10.50 for seniors and students, and $8.50-$9.50 for children, depending on the theater visited.
• “The Who: Quadrophenia — Can You See the Real Me? The Story Behind the Album” plays in theaters at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24. The movie explores The Who’s 1973 album “Quadrophenia.” This behind-the-scenes film includes a special welcome message from the band’s lead guitarist Pete Townshend.
Admission is $11.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and students, and $9.50 for children.
• “Der Rosenkavalier” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, as part of “The Met: Live in HD” 2012 Summer Encore series. This opera stars Renee Fleming and Susan Graham and is directed by Edo de Waart.
Admission is $6-$14 for adults, $4-$13 for seniors and students, and $4-$12 for children.
All films will play at Newgate Tinseltown, 3651 Wall Ave., Ogden; Layton Tinseltown, 720 W. 1500 North; and Cinemark Farmington, 900 W. Clark Lane. “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Der Rosenkavalier” will also be shown at Cinemark Bountiful 8, 206 S. 625 West.
