ANTELOPE ISLAND — Two programs about the inhabitants of Antelope Island State Park will be presented Saturday, May 26.

“Deserts Are Not Deserted” highlights various plants and animals living on the desert island and begins at 10 a.m. in the visitor center parking lot. From there, participants will take an easy one-hour hike to look for living things that have adapted to the harsh environment.

At 1 p.m., “Everybody Needs A Home” begins in the visitor center amphitheater. This Junior Ranger program about island plants and animals is geared to ages 6 to 12, but all ages are welcome.

Admission is $9 per vehicle. The park is west of Syracuse off Interstate 15’s Exit 332.
