OGDEN — Most of the running at the Ogden Nature Center is done by predators and their prey, but once a year the running is just for fun.
The Ogden Nature Center’s 10th annual Fly with the Flock 5K Fun Run and Pancake Breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 12. The course is two laps around the center’s dirt trails, at 966 W. 12th St. Children under age 12 can opt to run a 2.5K, and young children can try a free 100-foot dash. Walkers are welcome, but won’t be timed for medals. Same-day registrations is from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., on a space-available basis, and costs $27 for adults and $16 for children. The pancake breakfast is catered by Union Grill and Grounds for Coffee, and is included with race registration. Breakfast only is $7.
Awards will be announced after the race. There will also be activities for children, and the chance to meet birds of prey and other animals.
