ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK — An exhibit of photos by Tom Mathewson opens Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Antelope Island State Park Visitor Center.
Mathewson, who lives in Northern Utah, specializes in wildlife and landscape photography. Many of the images for the display were taken on Antelope Island.
Mathewson, who is now retired, grew up taking pictures. He used aerial cameras during his time with the Air Force. Now he focuses his time on capturing scenes in Utah and the national parks of the West.
The exhibit of Mathewson’s photos continues through Sept. 30. The visitor center is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
To get to Antelope Island State Park, take Exit 332 off Interstate 15 and head west on Antelope Drive through Syracuse. There is a fee of $9 per vehicle. For more information, call 801-725-9263.
