Nino Reyos mixes music, dance, storytelling

Nino Reyos will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Pleasant Valley branch of the Weber County Library.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — The Pleasant Valley branch of the Weber County Library will host a night of free music with American Indian performer Nino Reyos. The program is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the library, 5568 Adams Ave.

The Utah artist from the Laguna Pueblo and Northern Ute tribes is well-known for his dynamic Northern Traditional Ute flute playing and dance. He is also a renowned storyteller. He will include all of the above in the show at Pleasant Valley.

Reyos’ music is popular on American Indian radio shows throughout the country. He is in demand to present workshops on American Indian customs, dance, stories, crafts and music.
