Musicians join forces for Mozart’s Requiem

Two nights of Mozart and more will be the soundtrack for springtime when the Davis Master Chorale, the Wasatch Master Chorale, the New American Philharmonic and University of Utah guest vocalists join forces to feature the legendary maestro’s final piece, The Requiem.

The first show is at 7:30 p.m. May 4 in the Bountiful Regional Center, 835 N. 400 East, Bountiful. This event is free, although donations to support the various ensembles will be accepted.

The second concert is at 7:30 p.m. May 5 in the Browning Center’s Austad Auditorium at Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd., Ogden. Tickets for this second concert are $5.50 and can be purchased in advance at the WSU ticket office, 800-WSU-TIKS.

The program also includes Wilberg’s “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and Copland’s “The Promise of Living.”

The groups performing include musicians and vocalists from throughout the Wasatch Front. Vocal soloists from the University of Utah include soprano Jenny Erickson, alto Demaree Brown, tenor Lucas Goodrich and bass Daniel Tuutau.
