KAYSVILLE — Beauty is sometimes hiding beneath an ugly surface — in this case, a surface of feathers — as Jefferson Academy presents the Olivier Award-winning musical “Honk!”

Based on the classic Hans Christian Anderson story “The Ugly Duckling,” the show includes an upbeat score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The musical takes its audiences from the duckling’s hatching, to his adventures with a cuisine-minded cat, and finally his glorious reunion with his mother and the other barnyard animals.

“Honk” will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27; and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Jefferson Academy (formerly Oquirrh Mountain Charter School), 1425 S. Angel St., Kaysville.

Tickets are $3, available at the door.
