Mumford & Sons announced a Utah concert date.

Mumford & Sons have added a Utah show to their U.S. tour. The London-based band is playing at 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Saltair, 12408 W. Saltair Drive.

The roots-rock band, which includes Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane, started playing together in 2007 in London, and released a successful debut in 2009, "Sigh No More." The unexpected hit record crossed various rock radio formats and made it to No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200.

The popularity of the debut and the buzz built by the band's live shows helped the group gather Best New Artist and Best Song ("Little Lion Man") Grammys in 2010.

Tickets are $40, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, from Smith's Tix, 800-888-TIXX.
