RIVERDALE — Whether or not the “Beat the Heat Ride” lives up to its name might depend on the ever-changing spring weather.

The motorcycle ride starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Carey’s Cycle Center, 4450 S. 700 West. Registration begins at 9 a.m.

The ride, which is also open to cars, typically covers about 100 miles, going to Ogden Valley, Logan and Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and back.

Entry fee is $10; the event is a fundraiser for The Klunker Klub, a motorcyle club in Ogden.
