BRIGHAM CITY — Open Mic night will feature a concert before the stage opens with the band Montreal Blue.

The show runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Fine Arts Center, 58 S. 100 West.

This three-piece Ogden band, under the direction of lead singer Richard Smith, features vocal harmonies and performs a mix of originals and classics. Cost is $2 per person for the hourlong concert. Guests are welcome to stay for the regular Open Mic session, which begins at 7 p.m.

Open Mic night is a venue for vocalists, pianists, poets, comedians and ensembles to try out new material and receive audience feedback. There is no admission for performers, but a recommended donation of $2 for nonperformers.

Performers may have their original works recorded on CD. Light refreshments will be served. For further details, call the arts center at 435-723-0740.
