The Africa Heartwood Project is sponsoring a drum circle at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14. The beat-filled meeting is at the Eccles Community Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Ave., Ogden.
The Africa Heartwood Project is an organization that works with African drum carvers and djembe makers to help them sustain their livelihoods with micro-loans and markets to sell their wares.
Donations will be taken at this event for the Refugee Liberian Orphan Home.
Drums and instruments are provided, or feel free to bring your own. All ages are welcome.
