ANTELOPE ISLAND — It may be a desert, but Antelope Island is far from deserted.

The many plants and animals found on the island will be spotlighted in the “Deserts are Not Deserted Hike” at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

Participants should meet at the visitor center parking lot to take an easy one-hour hike with a naturalist to explore the island.

At 3 p.m. Thursday, June 21, “The Life and Times of Lake Bonneville” program will be repeated in the visitor center.

Admission to the park is $9 per vehicle.

The park is west of Syracuse, off Interstate 15’s Exit 332. For more information, call 801-721-9569.
