OGDEN — A Seattle comic who looks like actor Kevin Bacon — but bills himself as NOT Kevin Bacon — performs in Ogden on Saturday, June 30.
Steve Soelberg appears at 8 p.m. at Wiseguys Comedy Club, 269 Historic 25th St. Admission to his all-ages show is $10.
The comedian got into stand-up thanks to a 2007 New Year’s resolution and an attempt to impress a girl. Soelberg will try to distract you from his likeness to Bacon by joking about stuff like radioactive cat bites, attacks by a homeless man’s sandwich, and his incredibly nice parents.
Next weekend, Russ Nagel goes for the laughs with banter about bikers, travel, current events, family and marriage. The guy known as “America’s Funniest Biker” performs at 8 p.m. July 6 and 7.
Nagel has played at such venues as Trump Castle in Atlantic City, The Majestic Theater in Dallas and Catch a Rising Star in Las Vegas, as well as appearing as a regular on Carnival Cruise Lines. He’s been on Comedy Central and Spike TV and shared stage time with Chris Rock, Bill Engval and Bill Maher.
Tickets for the show, for age 18 and older, are $10.
