OGDEN — An upcoming comedian appearing at Wiseguys Comedy Club has been described as a cross between Brian Regan and Jeff Foxworthy.
See what kind of laughs that combo brings out when Jamie Maxfield appears at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. May 4 and 5 at the club, 269 Historic 25th St.
Maxfield got into stand-up as part of a pact with some friends. He has appeared in such clubs as the Ice House in Pasadena, Calif., the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, and Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The comedian’s resume reports that his inspiration comes from “a slightly twisted view of the world.” The topics of his observational humor include “the deepest darkest places of the human experience,” Saturday morning cartoons of the 1980s, and his marriage to his school sweetheart that has made him father to six children.
Admission to the show, for age 18 and older, is $10.
