SALT LAKE CITY — There is nothing like a diva to ring in the holidays. And the more, the merrier — as the Grand Theatre is about to show in the holiday production “A Diva Holiday,” opening Thursday, Dec. 6.
With an original script by Robin Wilkes-Dunn, Kevin Mathie and Eric Jensen, the family-friendly production features Christmas songs played by an eight-piece orchestra. The cast includes Clinton resident Detorea Oliver and Layton resident and Weber State University graduate Alicia Washington, who is also founder of Good Company Theatre in Ogden. The cast also features Erica Hansen, MacKenzie Seiler, and Erica Walters. Utah State University graduate Jonathan McBride rounds out the cast as the show’s narrator.
“A Diva Holiday” plays at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6-8 and 10 at the Grand Theatre, 1575 S. State St. Tickets are $10-$24 and can be purchased at www.the-grand.org, by calling 801-957-3322 or at the theater’s box office.
