OGDEN — The movie that first introduced us to the zany Austin Powers will play at Peery’s Egyptian Theater on Wednesday, July 11.

“Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,” the first in the popular film series, begins at 7 p.m. at 2415 Washington Blvd. Admission is $5.

The comedy, which is rated PG-13 and debuted in 1997, features Mike Myers as a British spy who is cryonically frozen in the 1960s to await the return of his nemesis, Dr. Evil, who has escaped in a space rocket and frozen himself. Powers is unfrozen 30 years later to take on the evil doc in the vastly changed world of the 1990s.

Also in the spy-film parody are Elizabeth Hurley as Powers’ love interest Vanessa Kensington, Robert Wagner as Number 2, Michael York as Basil Exposition and Seth Green as Scott Evil.
