OGDEN — Weber State University students soon will be hitting the books, but now it’s time to party.

The annual Wildcat Block Party, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, is an opportunity for students and potential students to see what the school has to offer. Each of the university’s academic departments will have booths set up where representatives will answer questions. There will also be booths with information about student services and clubs. The booths will be set up along Moench Mall, Tracy Plaza and Stewart Bell Tower Plaza, on the Ogden campus at 3848 Harrison Blvd.

This year’s block party, with contests and prizes, has a “Blast Back to the ’60s” theme.

Admission is free, but many clubs and organizations hold fundraisers during the event.
