OGDEN -- Big hair and costumes set the stage for Avalon School of Cosmetology's Fantasy Hair Show.

Students show off their wildest hair designs starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 2, on the stage of Peery's Egyptian Theater, at 2415 Washington Blvd.

The Fantasy Hair Show, put on by students of the school, is an annual event. This year's theme is childhood nightmares. Fairy tales with a dark twist inspire outrageous hair, makeup and costumes -- which are modeled onstage with music and choreography.

The hair show is a fundraiser for the Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Shelter. Tickets cost $10 in advance and can be picked up at the school, 1992 W. Antelope Drive, Layton. Tickets will be sold at the show for $15.

For more information, call 801-614-5040.
