Warm summer nights are a perfect time to toss a blanket on the lawn and catch a movie. Here are three flicks playing in area parks in coming days.

“The Shakiest Gun in the West,” an unrated Don Knotts classic from 1968, is the next title in the Monday Night at the Movies series at the Ogden Amphitheater, 343 Historic 25th St., Ogden. “Despicable Me” (2010, PG) plays at about 9 p.m. Monday, July 9, as part of the annual Farmington Days celebration. The free movie will screen in Main Park, 100 S. Main St.; bring blankets, lawn chairs, pillows and blankets. For more information, visit www.farmington.utah.gov.
