CLEARFIELD — As residents prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July, Clearfield Community Theatre actors and actresses are preparing to present “Give My Regards to Broadway.”
“What better time to highlight George M. Cohan’s well-known patriotic songs than the Fourth of July?” Alyn Bone, director of the July production, is quoted in a press release. “It’s not just a revue, but an entertaining story. It’s a feel-good show that the community will love to watch.”
“The show includes songs such as “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “The Yankee Doodle Boy” and “Mary’s A Grand Old Name,” in a story about one man’s struggle to get a Broadway show off the ground.
“Give My Regards to Broadway” will be performed at 8 p.m. Monday, July 2, through July 7, at the Bicentennial Park Amphitheatre, 931 E. 600 South. Seating is general admission, except for reserved seating on July 4 only.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for age 12 and younger and seniors 65 and older. Tickets can be purchased at Clearfield Community Services, 55 S. State St., or at the door the day of the show.
