The Weber County Library is celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Cinco de Mayo, and a couple of days before.
The library’s first Cinco de Mayo event starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 S. Adams Ave., Washington Terrace. The fiesta, commemorating the Mexican army’s victory over France in 1862, starts with a craft activity. At 7 p.m. there will be live music and dance by Tutulli Dancing Group, as well as refreshments.
On May 5, at 4 p.m., the party moves to the Main Library at 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden. Tutulli Dancing Group will be joined by Danza de los Viejitos Dancing Group for this celebration.
