Prepare to be blown away.
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is making a tour stop in Utah on Oct. 10. The 7:30 p.m. show will be at the Maverick Center, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City.
Tickets for The Blown Away Tour, with special guest Hunter Hayes, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at all Ticketmaster outlets.
Underwood was launched to national fame by winning the 2005 season of the Fox TV singing contest "American Idol." She parlayed that win into a top-notch career in country music. She has also appeared in two feature films, "Soul Surfer" and "Blue Bloods," as well as on numerous television shows.
Underwood has also taken home numerous music awards, including top honors from CMA, Dove, CMT, Billboard and the Grammys. Her fourth studio album, "Blown Away," arrived May 1 at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, with the first single, "Good Girl," popular on country radio nationwide.
