Car and bike show benefits veterans

Veterans Classic Car and Bike Show

registration starts at 10 a.m., show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 1, at the George E. Whalen Veterans Home, 1102 W. 1200 North, Ogden.
Barbecue follows the car show from 5-7 p.m., then from 7-11 p.m. there's a dance.

OGDEN — Polish your car and your shoes — there’s a car show and dance combo on Saturday, Sept. 1.

The fun starts with the Veterans Classic Car and Bike Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. Vehicle registration for the show, at 1102 W. 1200 North, starts at 10 a.m. and costs $10. Proceeds from the show support veterans functions at the home. There is no charge to view the vehicles.

A barbecue and dance follow the car show, at VFW Post 1481, 907 W. 12th St. Dinner is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the dance is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person at the door, or $15 for a couple if purchased at the car show. Tickets for age 12 and younger are $6.50. Proceeds from the dinner and dance support the Northern Utah Veterans Hall Mortgage Fund.
