LAYTON — The tale of a Scottish princess named Merida is the next sensory-friendly film screening for families with members with autism.

“Brave,” a new Disney/Pixar release rated PG, will play at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Layton Hills 9 theaters, 728 W. 1425 North. Admission is $4.

The movie is presented in partnership with the Autism Society and is screened with the sound turned down and the house lights turned up. Moviegoers may walk around the theater and talk, and may bring in their own casein-free and gluten-free snacks.

Kelly Macdonald is the voice of Princess Merida, the archer, in this animated fairy tale. Emma Thompson plays Queen Elinor, Billy Connolly is King Fergus and Julie Waters plays the witch.
