Inspiring young keyboardist Kuha’o Case is opening the show for Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. on Saturday, July 21 at the Ogden Amphitheater.

The Hawaii-born Case, 15, has been blind since infancy. He started teaching himself to play piano and organ about three years ago, and has since become remarkably proficient.

He has become a popular figure on YouTube, where videos of him listening to a song once or twice and then playing his own version have attracted views.

Kuha’o is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and counts among his inspirations Mormon Tabernacle Choir organist Richard Elliot.

Case has learned to play without having a piano of his own, and without the benefit of lessons. He is raising funds to produce his first CD and invest in his musical education.
