BRIGHAM CITY — Birds are winging their way into the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge this spring, so it’s time for the International Migratory Bird Day celebration.

An open house with bird-related games, crafts and movies runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the refuge’s education center, 2155 W. Forest St.

One children’s birding tour, for age 6 to 13 and their families, will be offered during the day, but space is limited so register in advance at 435-734-6444.

Visitors can also enjoy the 1/2-mile outdoor trail at the center or visit the refuge, 12 miles west of the center.

Admission is free.
