LAYTON -- Layton City Family Recreation will be hosting a barbecue to kick off its new season of family fun events.
The Family Recreation BBQ will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in Commons Park Phase 2, 437 N. Wasatch Drive.
The event will include dinner, a performance by the youth entertainment group FUNaddicts, and a screening of "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron" (2002, G) in the park.
Admission to the barbecue dinner is $2, and tickets must be purchased in advance at Layton City Parks and Recreation, 465 N. Wasatch Drive. Admission to all other events is free.
