BRIGHAM CITY — The winners in the Brigham City Fine Arts Center’s Art-Tell art competition have been announced.
Best of Show went to photographer Michael Goates, Brigham City, for his piece “Self-Portrait.”
First place in photography was “Reed’s Leather and Canvas” by Brigham City’s Hal R. Allen and second place went to “Junk Yard Doll” by Brigham City’s Gary Gardner.
Drawing and graphic arts awards went to Ogden’s Mary Wells, first place for “26 Dragons,” and Brigham City’s Jeffery A. Lowe, second place for “Poet’s Pen.”
Diane MacNaughton of Brigham City received first place in 3-D and fabric art for her piece “Whimsies of Magic,” which also won the People’s Choice Award. Mantua’s Deon Richards took second place in this category for “See the Magic.”
First place in painting went to Lowe for “Acorn Fairies” and second place went to Brigham City’s Glenda Port for “Witnessing the Magic of a Hawaiian Sunset.”
Winners were announced at the close of the show, on April 16.
