OGDEN — The man who lived through the real “127 Hours” speaks at Peery’s Egyptian Theater on Wednesday, June 13.
Aron Ralston, a climber who became trapped under a boulder near Moab and had to amputate his own arm to survive, will give a lecture at 8 p.m. at the theater, 2415 Washington Blvd.
The film “127 Hours” (2010, R), which relates Ralston’s experience, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the theater. Actor James Franco portrays Ralston.
The events are sponsored by the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance. Advance tickets for the lecture are $15 for adults, or $10 for students with ID. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for students at the door. Admission to the film is $5.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.
