OGDEN -- A real lady of the blues returns to Ogden on Saturday for a night of music. San Francisco's Lady Bianca performs at 9 p.m. at the Wine Cellar, a 21-and-over club at 2550 Washington Blvd.
While best known now as a blues singer, Lady Bianca (born Bianca Thorton) made her mark first as a session singer, performing on albums by such diverse artists as Van Morrison, Frank Zappa and Merle Haggard. She also drew great acclaim playing Billie Holiday in Jon Hendrick's production of "Evolution of the Blues."
Since the 1980s, she has partnered with songwriter Stanley Lippitt for a series of six albums to date. She has built a following in Ogden with regular performances at the Wine Cellar.
Cost is $8 per person at the door. For further details, call the club at 801-399-3600.
